Day 6

We arrived in Luxor early in the morning and was transferred to our hotel, Tutotel to freshen up, sleep etc. We were to meet with the rest of our group and our proper tour leader later today (they did the Egypt Encompassed tour and had spent some time in the desert).

We took a stroll around Luxor to waste some time before having lunch in the hotel. During lunch our new travelling mates arrived from the desert. Understandably they all wanted to freshen up and rest as well, but before they did they came up and introduced themselves and to meet the Newbies. We also met Tam, our tour leader.

Later that day we visited Karnak Temple by Caleche, a horse and buggy. Karnak was impressive and adel our tour guide for Karnak (and Valley of the Kings the day after) was great.


We then took a Caleche through the backstreets and Bazaar of Luxor, where I continually had little kids shouting hello and asking for money.

Afterwards we had all had dinner at a resaurant around the corner. The name I forget.
